Four wonderful women from Lifeways have been shortlisted for the Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards.

The awards, affectionately known as “The WAGS”, celebrate the extraordinary women leading, innovating, and elevating social care.

Karen Roberts, Lifeways’ Head of Health & Clinical Governance, has been shortlisted for a Lifetime Achievement Award while Amanda Brooke, Chief Transformation Officer, is up for the Women in Tech Award.

Amber Kingsnorth and Caroline Lynch are both shortlisted in the Social Care Superwoman Award category for their work with people who have complex needs.

Andrea Kinkade, Lifeways CEO, said: “Congratulations to our quartet and to every single woman who has been shortlisted. The Women Achieving Greatness Awards are a brilliant way to celebrate those who are not only shaping the future of care - but redefining what’s possible.

“Karen, Amanda, Amber and Caroline are absolute superstars of social care and I’m so proud that they’ve been shortlisted to represent the best of Lifeways on the national stage.”

Organisers said the number and quality of nominations in the 2025 awards has been unprecedented, making the shortlisting process incredibly difficult and a true reflection of the sector’s talent and passion.

A panel of independent judges, led by awards Patron and former president of the Royal College of Nursing, Dr Cecilia Anim CBE, are now selecting the category winners.

They will be announced at the Gala Awards which will take place in London on 2nd December.
