Lifeways has been named as a finalist in three categories at the upcoming British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards for its work to improve health and safety standards for the people they support.

Lifeways’ Health and Safety Team are up for Team of the Year for reducing incidents in multiple areas while the Quality Team has been shortlisted for its “If Only” campaign, which uses risk-based scenarios to challenge support workers to follow training and policies by asking themselves key questions before making decisions.

Heather Wright, Group Head of Health and Safety at Lifeways has also been shortlisted for the Rising Female Star Award at the awards.

Gareth Roberts, Quality Director at Lifeways, said: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted three times at the British Safety Council International Safety Awards. The awards celebrate great work across multiple sectors across the globe, so to be named alongside the other organisations on the shortlist is a fantastic achievement.

“Congratulations to everyone in our health and safety and quality teams, who have all worked incredibly hard to raise the bar in everything we do and also to Heather who is named alongside some great leaders and inspirational women in her category. We must not forget the frontline teams who are delivering the support, utilising our digital systems and following policies to ensure people achieve great outcomes”

Heather Wright was crowned as Woman of the Year at the 2025 SHE awards in April, where Lifeways was also highly commended for Best Use of Data.

In 2025, Lifeways was also shortlisted in multiple categories at the Care Home Awards, and is a finalist at the HealthInvestor Awards.
