Lifeways’ Health and Safety Team highly commended at national awards
Lifeways’ award-winning Health and Safety Team has been recognised with another gong – scooping highly commended for Best Use of Data at the national Safety and Health Excellence (SHE) Awards.
The award celebrates our innovative use of data to keep people safe, including our proactive approach to monitoring incidents and delivering person-centred interventions.
Judges praised our use of the RADAR compliance system and Power BI, which help us spot trends in real time and act early to prevent incidents.
This data-led approach drove impressive outcomes in 2023/24, including a 46% reduction in choking incidents and a 100% reduction in reportable events to the Health and Safety Executive.
To support a consistent approach across our 1,500 services, the team also delivered more than 15,000 targeted training sessions to build confidence and skills, further strengthening our culture of learning and safety.
