Jessie and Lynne on the set of Let's Collaborate

An inclusivity champion, supported by Lifeways, has launched her very own podcast.

After months of hard work Jessie, who lives at a supported living service in Stourport, has released the first episode of her new podcast Let’s Collaborate. In the debut episode, Jessie is joined by Lifeways’ Quality Personalisation Officer, Lynne Goodall.

Together, they discuss important topics such as helping people with learning disabilities understand how to vote, how Lynne continues to develop her skills in her role, and how listeners can help drive positive change.

Since releasing the first episode, Jessie has been selected to receive 30 Wishes funding from Lifeways, which she plans to use to buy new filming equipment to take her podcast to the next level.

“I was shocked, in a good way of course,” she said after hearing the news. “It hadn’t sunk in yesterday when I was told but now I am proud and excited to be able to continue with my podcast and make the quality so much better.”

Amy Gilbert, Managing Director of Lifeways’ Supported Living division, added: “We’re all incredibly proud of Jessie and the hard work she’s put into launching Let’s Collaborate.

“The team at Stourside have been right behind her to make sure she felt confident and happy with the project.

“Jessie’s passion and determination really shine through, and I can’t wait to see where she takes this exciting journey next.”
