yorkshire three peaks

People from across Lifeways are raising funds for the Care Workers Charity by taking part together in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.

The Care Workers Charity – of which Lifeways is a supporter member - assists the UK’s two million care workers with crisis grants and mental health assistance.

Last year’s walk was a huge success. We raised over £6,000 for the mental health charity Mind, uniting multiple departments across Lifeways and raising money for a great cause.

This event caters to all abilities, allowing walkers to choose between one, two, or all three peaks. There will be collection points and ground support available for those who need it.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes in the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, three of the best-known hills in the Yorkshire Dales. Tackling all three peaks in a day is a challenge – but doable if you’ve had a couple of weeks to train!

People at Lifeways taking part in this year's walk on Friday, 26 July, will follow these steps:

  1. Register their attendance by donating £20 to the Just Giving page.
  2. Then, they’ll get three people to sponsor them. These can be family members, colleagues, or friends.
  3. Lastly, they’ll turn up on Friday, 26 July, ready to walk!

Phil Tattersall, our Community Engagement and Development Manager for the North West, said:

“Our Lifeways Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is a fantastic event that brings people together for a great cause. It's an opportunity to push your limits, enjoy stunning scenery, and support the Care Workers Charity in their vital work. I encourage everyone to join us and make a difference.”

If you can't join us, please support us by sharing the Just Giving page and helping us raise money for this very important charity!
