A Lifeways supported living registration is celebrating a major milestone after being rated ‘Outstanding’ in its first-ever CQC-style mock inspection.

Our Worcester registration underwent a rigorous inspection by award-winning healthcare consultancy Fulcrum and was found to be outstanding across four of five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring and Well-Led.

Inspectors also praised the registration for providing safe, person-centred support that empowers people to live independently and with dignity.

The inspection was commissioned by Lifeways as part of our commitment to continuous improvement and robust governance across all services.

Gareth Roberts, Quality Director at Lifeways, said: “We’re so proud of the Worcester team. Although this was a mock inspection, it demonstrates the exceptional standards we expect are being achieved and we welcome a full inspection from the Care Quality Commission.

“It was absolutely brilliant to read the inspection report highlight areas which are especially important to us such as person-centred support and the team’s compassion and understanding of the amazing people we support.

“It was also fantastic to read that our governance model and compliance processes were considered ‘best in class’ as we have done a lot of hard work to significantly improve in this area.

“Well done to everyone within the services that make up the registered location – this is a wonderful indication of the amazing work they’re doing.”
