Six of Lifeways’ best shortlisted in the Social Care Leadership Awards

We’re proud to announce that six Lifeways team members have been shortlisted in the Social Care Leadership Awards.
The awards highlight outstanding contributions across the care sector and reflect the passion and commitment of our teams who everyday support people to live more independently.
The award ceremony will be held in London on 21st October and here are our amazing shortlisted nominees:
Tracy Dixon – Social Value Leader category
Regional Director Tracy Dixon has been shortlisted as Social Value Leader for embedding social value into every aspect of care delivery.
Tracy has led initiatives creating job opportunities for underrepresented groups, built strong partnerships with local organisations, and promoted sustainable practices. Her leadership ensures that care goes beyond individuals to uplift whole communities. She is also co-chairperson of Lifeways’ Diversity Council.
Tracy truly stands out as a leader who is driving social value in our organisation and beyond.
Kelly Stretch and Isabel Cockerham – PBS Excellence category
Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) lead Kelly Stretch and Support Practitioner Isabel Cockerham have been jointly nominated for their dedication to improving lives through Positive Behaviour Support.
Nominated by Service Practitioner Sophie Sayer, they were praised for their work supporting a gentleman transitioning into a purpose-built service. Their detailed planning and evidence-based strategies transformed his quality of life – from communication and health improvements to enjoying new community activities.
Kelly and Isabel also coach and mentor colleagues, building staff confidence and motivation. Families and partners alike describe them as trusted, collaborative, and deeply committed.
Julie O’Donovan – Workforce Development category
Julie O’Donovan, Support Practitioner in the HR team, has been nominated for the Workforce Development Award.
Julie provides tailored training to ensure colleagues feel confident and equipped to deliver person-centred support. From bespoke PBS plans to mentoring team leaders, her approach has improved lives and reduced behaviours of concern through innovative methods.
Julie’s dedication and willingness to adapt training to team needs make her an invaluable part of Lifeways.
Brenda Lampit – Outstanding Contribution to Care category
Brenda Lampit, a support worker at Woodbury View, has been nominated for the Outstanding Contribution to Care Award as she retires after more than 40 years of service – most of them with Lifeways.
Brenda has mentored countless colleagues and set the highest standards of care, combining professionalism with compassion. During the challenges of lockdown, she lifted spirits with her energy and creativity, from sack races to dressing up in costumes to bring joy to residents.
Her legacy is one of dedication and care. As a colleague put it: “You can’t be the complete care package unless you care – and Brenda has always shown us how it’s done.”
